Nice overview of biofuels. Have you heard of the veggie-diesels? Here in the Northeast you can install a conversion kit so a diesel runs on vegetable oils. It’s my understanding that the kit is mainly to keep the oil from gelling in cooler temperatures. Supposedly there are older versions of some Mercedes that don’t need a conversion kit. Just dump in the filtered oil and drive away. It would be interesting to learn more about that type of biofuel since it can use recycled oils from restaurants, reducing waste and emissions.
